Yes, everbody is talking about the killer wave of Teahupoo. But Tahiti has more beautiful surf spots to offer, especially when you are not a pro. I am not a surfer at all. I am more into diving, but love watching surfers. As a filmmaker nowadays you cannot travel without a drone anymore. But even in the drone business I wouldn't call myself a pro. But hey, what is it all about? It is about having some fun and being grateful to bring home some decent pictures. "Ohh happy wave" was born by accident. I mean I had no plan when I started. Pico Island, the Azores 2020. We were invited by Frank Wirths's Pico Sport. Divers, freedivers, photographers and filmmakers from Italy, France, Germany and other European countries. Covis 19 was slowing down a bit and travelling was still far from normal, but possible and safe. So we all took the chance to get in the water again, the deep blue atlantic water surrounding the Azores.

For the purest form of diving, not much equipment is needed and you are getting into an intense dialogue with yourself and nature.
